Welcome to the site that was built to satisfy your carnival glass cravings but only at eBay prices. Here, we have classified eBay products into categories that you can find at the left sidebar.

What ornament is colored, made of glass, and has a seemingly metallic finish? If it is something worth treasuring, then it can only be a carnival glass. What used to be offered at country fairs and carnivals at giveaway prices are now objects of art, and sometimes family heirlooms.

Making beautiful glass of lasting value demands a special formula that matured in the US as early as 1910. Glass is placed into the mold while being exposed to high temperatures. The iridescent brightness comes from the application of metallic salts or oxides while the glass is still hot. The consequent effect is the illusion of a blend of colors mixing with and overshadowing the glass's dominant color.

In any case, carnival glass do have a dominant color. Most of the time, these are marigold, amethyst, blue and green. Other possible colors are the rarer ice colors that are scarce and are sometimes found in glass coming from Europe.

Meanwhile, the antique carnival glass that we know started out in America in 1907 lead by the efforts of the Fenton Glass Company.

In the following years, stiff competition came in the form of antique glass from Northwood Glass Company, Imperial Glass Company. Other companies such as Dugan and Millersburg have their own designs that match up to Fenton Glass.
